New Land Rover Defender DC 100 at Delhi with new paint job Land Rover has taken newly painted versions – in  Firenze Red – of the new Defender Concept 100 and 100 Sport to the Delhi Auto Expo 2012. Land Rover has been busy at the last two motor shows giving us a glimpse or three of their take on the next generation Land Rover Defender, in the shape of the Defender Concept 100 (DC 100) and Defender Concept 100 Sport (DC 100 Sport). Redesigned 2014 Lexus IS base price increases

Lexus has set the base price of the 2014 IS compact sport sedan at $36,845, including shipping, an increase of $885 from its predecessor, Lexus said. In contrast, the top-level IS 350 with all-wheel drive starts at $42,595, including shipping, which is 2.1 percent lower than the model it replaces, Lexus said in a statement this week. The pricing makes good on Lexus' guarantee to keep the base price attainable for consumers “by narrowing the gap between the 250 and 350,” a Lexus spokesman said.

V6 dropped for redesigned Mazda 6 sedan

Mazda will drop the V6 engine from the Mazda 6 lineup, the company told Automotive News. Instead, the redesigned Mazda 6 will use powertrains from Mazda's Skyactiv technology bin, including direct-injection four-cylinder engines and ultra-efficient transmissions. “We believe that the balance of fuel economy and power that Skyactiv offers is what customers want,” a Mazda spokesman said.
